Dr. Lauretta Stombaugh is one of the few osteopathic pediatricians practicing in western North Carolina. Her holistic approach and warm nature creates a comfortable space for parents and children to share their questions, concerns, and experiences. She enjoys teaching small groups about topics such as positive discipline and parenting. She grew up in New York where she attended Hofstra University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She then received her Medical Degree at The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where she met her husband, Dr. Jason Stombaugh. She continued her study of medicine at The Children's Hospital of New Jersey where she completed an additional year serving as Chief Resident. It was there that she discovered her preference to work with the underserved population. Currently, she is practicing full-time at Hendersonville Pediatrics, a private group practice in a rural, underserved area within the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. In her free time, Dr. Stombaugh loves to spend time hiking to local waterfalls with her four young children and exploring the endless world of encaustic art.
